Positive: Me and my buddy have stayed here for a couple of nights during a cycling trip in the area. We have very much liked everything about this lovely little hut. The beautiful surroundings in the nature are amazing.The path to the house through the woods is already a journey, especially if you are either on foot or on bicycles, but it's suitable for cars as well. The distance from Glengarriff is about 6-7 km. This wooden house is brand new, beautiful with lovely decorations, great facilities and nice looking high quality kitchen appliances. You feel like you are camping but in a comfortable hotel room. Mountains, goats and horses are on your doorstep. It's small but very nicely and elegantly made up. Everything works perfectly. Bed is very comfortable, bathroom is great, I loved the taps and sink. And the towels... You have everything you need in the kitchen, the capsule coffee machine was very important for me personally. We have experienced the very best of Irish weather, heavy rain and winds while outside all day but after coming "home", it was very cozy and warm inside, very soothing indeed. The electric heater has worked like a treat. We were lucky enough to see the place in sunshine too, fairytale stuff, if you are coming from the city. Elodie is the most helpful host I ever met while staying in private accommodations. Great communication the entire time and she was offering to help us just in case we needed anything. To anyone who has got as far as reading this review, so obviously interested in this kind of experience: I can highly recommend staying here if you are travelling in the area or just want to hide away from any noise for a few days in the most idyllic place.
